SBS Marathon Drinks Station

Once again your PTA has got together and completed another fabulous fund raiser for our school.

On Queens Birthday weekend some people were taking part in a bit of a jog around Christchurch and the Fendalton PTA were asked to man a drink station to provide water, energy drinks and sponges to help them go faster.

It all starts fairly early in the morning and Sara W. had organised for around 20 people to help out. While it was pretty cold and breezy down by the river where the stand was set up, there was an abundance of good cheer, flasks of hot chocolate and some amazing baking to warm us all up.

The runners were appreciative of all our work handing out their drinks and of the support they received with the children managing to fill cups of water as well as cheering them on.

Well done to all those who helped. You're amazing.
